S&B Engineers and Constructors has been ranked No. 24 on Engineering News-Record (ENR) annual list of the Top 500 Design Firms and No. 3 in the Industrial Process / Petroleum sector. ENR’s list, which many consider an industry benchmark, ranks both publicly and privately held companies based on revenue for design services performed in the previous year.
This year, S&B Engineers and Constructors climbed up three spots on both lists from No. 27 to No. 24 overall; and from No. 6 to No. 3 in the Industrial Process / Petroleum sector. Over the last 10 years, S&B has progressed from No. 45 to No. 24 overall; and from No. 15 to No. 3 in the Industrial Process / Petroleum sector.
“The recognition on ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms list is the result of the hard work of our S&B family members,” said David Taylor, Chief Operations Officer at S&B Engineers and Constructors. “Our continued progress and growth demonstrate our ability to consistently deliver effective and innovative solutions, especially in the Industrial Process and Petroleum sector.”
2019 was an outstanding year for S&B. The company kicked off construction for Phillips66 SHP2—the largest NGL fractionation plant in the country; was awarded its largest EPC project—Enterprise Products Partners PDH 2; and celebrated 15 million safe man hours on nine consecutive projects with Energy Transfer Partners.
In 2019, S&B also re-energized its focus on alliance work with both existing and new customers.
“Our alliance relationships play a significant role in our overall success,” said Taylor. “While we could not have predicted today’s market conditions, our strong foundation of alliance work will be important as we move forward.”
